IPS is the UK’s market leading co-packer, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing and co-manufacturing solutions. With over 30 years experience, a national network of co-packing facilities, committed staff and a flexible approach to business, IPS continues to lead the market.
By working with our manufacturing partners to integrate co-packing into their network we are able to focus on a streamlined supply chain. This uniquely flexible approach reduces both the cost of putting products on shelves and your impact on the environment.
With our 'Centre of Excellence' based at Wakefield Europort, West Yorkshire (Jct31 M62), we have a network of sites throughout the country, providing us with 300,000 square feet of dedicated co-packing space, giving us the capacity to run packing lines for both bulk everyday products and smaller scale seasonal and premium brands.

Our innovative and flexible approach to co-packing means that we provide a full packaging service.
Across all our facilities, our production lines have the capacity for up to 80 products at any one time. This allows us to work with our customers to get new products onto the shelf quickly or to do short product runs in addition to our larger contracts.
We offer a full suite of packaging development, engineering solutions and CAD design to many of our customers, often embedded in their own supply chain. By doing this we deliver lower cost and lower food miles for the manufacturer.
Our core business includes flow-wrapping, filling, bagging, cartoning and merchandising units. We cover all main packing technologies and work closely with our customers in pack development and design to deliver the best route to market.
We have leading edge IT technology, either linking directly to a customer’s system or using our own IT solutions. Our traceability processes are second to none with the ability to trace product and people extremely quickly in line with our blue chip customer needs.

Our Staff
Flexible and dedicated team
IPS is a people business and we take great pride in developing our team. We have a core number of staff across all our facilities and this number is trebled at peak times. Many of our seasonal workers return year after year.
Packing operatives are trained on a number of different lines to ensure flexibility within the team and improve job satisfaction. All workers have training in Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and other training in relation to their specific role. We also support employees in additional development as identified at their regular review meetings.
We have a policy of promoting within the organisation and many of our team leaders and managers started working with us as operatives many years ago. A number of staff are currently being supported by the company to achieve relevant management qualifications.
We are delighted to link-up with our local Colleges to offer a new business apprenticeship in addition to our well-established electrical and mechanical apprenticeships.

Our customers can rest assured that all products packaged at our IPS factories are handled in full accordance with all the expected regulations.
We also have BS EN ISO9001: 2008 accreditation and SMETA Audit standards. To ensure the highest product quality we have the following quality facilities and procedures in place:
- Segregated production facilities providing nut free clean rooms
- Daily Microbiological sampling for nut trace and allergens
- Full "field to fork" traceability
- In-line check weighing
- In-line metal detection
- Temperature-controlled facilities
In addition we ensure that all new packaging products developed are fully tested to ensure their durability and robustness in transit and work with industry leading suppliers.
